| Facebook is a Positive User Experience So Far |

I've only been using Facebook for less than a week now, and I'm finding it to be a great tool. Honestly, the only reason I opened an account was because I am developing a Facebook application for Daily Marketing Ace . I figured it would be a good idea to know what a Facebook application is before I paid someone to create one for me! My hesitated to do it because it felt like it was going to be a big fat time suck, the last thing I need right now. But I'm glad my project gave me a little push. Actually, it was a person that gave the project a push to begin with, so I guess I should really give credit to Gina because she practically scolded me for not taking Daily Marketing Ace tips to FB users with an application. We actually ended up scheduling a second call and recording it. Gina has an amazing strategy around using a blog and Facebook to get a rapid start as an affiliate marketer and even how to use it to market your own products. The transcript is being done and I'm having someone create a workbook too, but more on that later ;-) Back to Facebook. The pleasant surprise has been that Facebook is doing, for me, what it is supposed to do -- connect people. I've been able to quickly connect with people I already know, develop new connections to people I want to know, and also some of my old friends (from High School - Gasp!) found me right away. So, for networking Facebook is a clear winner (I know, everyone else has been saying that for a while. I'm slow on the pickup here). In the next few days, I'll be putting some of Gina's ideas to use. I'll keep you posted. But for now, if you are a FB user, search on my name (Doug Hudiburg :-) and add me as a friend. Did I say I was going to put some of Gina's Ideas to work? Now starts the time suck. But I'm sure it will be profitable time well spent.
